About 27,000 students are enlisted in the Karl-Franzens University of Graz, which has been founded already in 1585 by the Archduke Karl II of Inner Austria. Students can choose from more than 100 bachelor, master and diploma programs in six faculties. The number of Nobel prized winners, who researched in Graz is noticeable as well. University life is characterized by student associations and groups like university choir, orchestra or theatre.
Graz as such offers a nice study atmosphere and is a good place to get connected with neighbor countries as it is located in the south part of Austria.
