Business
In line with Andrew van de Ven’s "Engaged Scholarship" (2007) and Anne Sigismund Huff’s call for "Changes in Organizational Knowledge Production" (1999) we welcome the advice and perspective of our key stakeholders (researchers, users, clients, sponsors and practitioners).
Through the interaction with our business partners we can ensure that our research and teaching activities cover the complex social problems in the business world. Thus, we aim to establish long-term relationships with practitioners and welcome ongoing cooperation in research and teaching.
In terms of research cooperation we welcome individual managers as well as business firms to engage in joint research projects. For all participating parties, these projects open up new horizons. For corporate partners they provide access to our academic large-scale research initiatives as well as international research collaborations.
Is your company interested in the scientific analysis and evaluation of particular challenges you are facing? And does your challenge fit within our “Ability to Innovate” Research Initiative? If this is the case, you are cordially welcome to contact us.

Success story
One of our current joint practitioner–researcher projects is the International Innovation Lab Initiative, run in collaboration with a wide range of partners from the academic and business world. Participants both from research and practice call it "one of the most exciting experiences that opens the eye for the unknown world".
In terms of teaching cooperation we welcome the exchange of knowledge in our course offerings. "Diplomarbeiten", "Studienarbeiten", "Projektarbeiten" and "Seminararbeiten" are possibilities for companies to challenge students to critically elaborate a particular challenge the company is facing. Also, we welcome practitioners as invited speakers or facilitators of workshops to present their company’s activities to our students.
We look forward to learn about your "innovative ideas" of how to span the boundaries between academics and business practice.
